Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Episode 2 At Fangtasia, Elijah, the new sheriff, is not impressed with the night's take and tells Pam and Tara that there's been a new directive from on high: They must create 30 new vampires by the end of the year. This doesn't sit well with Pam, but Elijah tells her that if she doesn't obey, he'll take away all of her assets, including Tara. Later, Tara asks Pam whether she's going let Elijah take everything from her. "He can have the bar," Pam says. "You and me, we live in the wind, just like I did with Eric. We don't need this place."
Elijah returns to Fangtasia, called by a frantic Tara. Tara claims she decided to turn good old Ginger into a vampire, but she thinks she overdid it. "I don't know nothing 'bout birthin' no baby vampires," Tara says. Yes,
Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Episode 2 she did say that. I am not kidding you. I hope Alan Ball paid her extra. When Elijah leans over Ginger's body, Ginger stick a silver knife in his chest, and Tara swiftly slices off Elijah's head with a sword. Pam instantly appears: "You have got to be kidding me." Tara: "We're not running. No one (bleeps) with us in our house." Have I mentioned how much I love these two together? Steve returns to the Authority, but the receptionist tells him they had a problem with Emma. Seems she's turned back into a little girl, and she wants her mommy. "Your mommy doesn't want you, punk," Steve tells her, and orders her back into puppy form. The mice escape from his briefcase while Steve ushers Emma away.
Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Episode 2 In the chambers, the chancellors, Bill, Eric and Russell are discussing vampire education reform, but Russell has a more ambitious platform: He wants to make synthetic fairy so vampires can become daywalkers. Eric points out that fairy only lasts a few minutes at most, but Russell says they simply need to experiment: "We study it, we capture another fairy even, and we breed them." Bill and Eric share their own significant look. Salome angrily points out that the walking in the sun is forbidden and that fairies are an abomination. Russell, getting in Salome's face: "Their is like sucking on heaven. I wish I had just one drop of fairy to stuff in your piehole." Salome hisses back that she saved him, and she can put him back in the ground.
Well, maybe not. Russell tosses Salome across the room.
Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Episode 2 Nora tries to grab for Russell, but he throws her off as well. He jumps on the table: "I am 3,000 years old. I am stronger than all of you combined. How long did you think I would be your lapdog?" he says, his Southern-fried accent slipping back and forth into a heavy Mitteleuropean one. "You can have your Lilith. I will not be constrained by your god. I will have the sun." And he makes his escape. Oopsies!
Okay, show of hands: Who didn’t assume that it was only a matter of time before ’s Russell got tired of playing nice with the Authority? You there, with your hand up — be embarrassed! As for the rest of you, you’ll be gratified to read (if you haven’t already watched Sunday’s installment) that this was the episode in which the former Vampire King of Mississippi declared himself over it.
Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Episode 2 (He even bitch-slapped Salome to make sure she understood just how over it he really was.) But that was nothing compared to what he told the Council he was going to do next… MAKE-BELIEVERS | Before Russell declared his independence from the Authority (and from all authority, for that matter), he, Bill and Salome executed poor Mac from Veronica Mars. Eric, however, was given one last chance to convert — and force-fed a droplet of Lilith to speed the ol’ presto-chango. At first, he and Nora saw not the nudie goddess but Godric, who, in essence, tsk-tsk’d his daughter. But then Lil showed up and slashed Mr. Peace,
Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Episode 2 Love and Happiness’ throat. After that, Eric was a believer — or at least willing to give the appearance that he was one. He even claimed that he forgave Russell for slaughtering his whole family. Of course, the immortal enemies’ détente was short-lived. Both Eric and Bill went wild-eyed when the madman revealed his plan to score enough fairy to daywalk to his cold, undead heart’s content.
(You could almost hear Bill’s brain gasp: “Sookie!”) FAIRY HOME COMPANION | Speaking of Sookie, she was forced to stake Mike the Creepy Coroner with a pair of chopsticks when he used his newly sprouted fangs to bite her. Later, she and Jason discovered a scroll full of squiggles hidden under a floorboard at Gran’s house. Unfortunately for Miss Jazz Hands, the fairy version of Google Translate revealed that the 300-odd-year-old document was a contract that gave her to the mysterious Warlo who had killed Ma and Pa Stackhouse. SNOW WAY OUT | Although Hoyt survived being
Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Episode 2 turned into Piggy Chow, he decided that, rather than crawl back to the half-life he’d lead in his mama’s house, he was going to move to Alaska. “No!” cried Jason and Jessica (selfish much?). But Bubba’s mind was made up. So, in what was probably the most heartbreaking scene of the season to date, Jessica granted Hoyt’s request to glamour him into forgetting that both she and Jason even existed.
SPLAT GOES THE WEASEL | After new sheriff Elijah informed Pam and Tara that the Authority had ordered a baby (vamp) boom, our favorite zinger slinger told her progeny that, rather than obey, they’d go
Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Episode 2 on the lam. Tara, natch, had other ideas and staked the Lestat wannabe.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE | Chasing down Emma, Sam and Luna shifted into mice (the cute, white, lab kind, not the giant, terrifying, subway kind) and snuck into Authority HQ just in time to see her new “owner,” Steve, scold the werepup for turning back into a human. Lafayette cooked dinner for Andy and Holly, possibly to remind us that they’re still a couple, and Morella made a cameo at the fairy Studio 54, definitely to remind us that unfaithful Andy has already doomed his relationship with Holly. And best of all, no smoke monster! So, what did you think of the episode? Will you miss Hoyt? Do you think Bill has really gone over to the dark side? (We didn’t… until he allowed Mac from Veronica Mars to be staked!)

Luckily, Sookie ordered Chinese takeout, and the chopsticks were more than handy enough to give the toe-sucking creeper the death. Hell of a mess though. Eric, however, is kept alive, as Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Nora (Lucy Griffiths) have talked the other members of the Authority into giving them the opportunity to turn him to their cause. Their seduction of Eric starts forcefully enough, with prying his mouth open so that Bill can force a droplet of Lilith’s down his throat so that Eric might see a vision of her. It’s about as subtle a tactic as you’d find in Guantanamo Bay, and probably as effective, as it isn’t Lilith, but Godric who appears instead.
Eric confesses that he’s failed, that Nora is lost, while Nora insists that Godric abandoned her and that she is committed to Lilith now. Godric, for his part, declares that he’s done what his former progeny has failed to do – he’s evolved. At that moment, Lilith appears, embracing Godric from behind. As Eric implores Godric to fight her, Nora begs Lilith to spare her maker. But Godric simply declares that he is not the one who needs to fight her. And with that, Lilith rips Godric’s throat out, coating herself in his to the abject horror of Eric and Nora. It’s a powerful scene, though not anywhere near as powerful as Godric’s original death. But it goes a long way in establishing the

Bill looks on via security cameras, not seeing the shared visions of Eric and Nora, but knowing, just the same, that he’s won Eric to their cause with Lilith’s evisceration of his maker.
